Edinburgh Airport (IATA: EDI) is located in Edinburgh, Scotland. Also known as Turnhouse, it is the sixth largest airport in the UK, located 13 km (8 miles) west of the city centre. It is a private airport, owned by the same company that owns Heathrow and Gatwick. The airport was created in 1977, and there are current plans to add a third runway.
